David Grann is an American journalist, author, and staff writer at The New Yorker magazine. Born on March 10, 1967, in New York City, Grann graduated from Connecticut College and later received a master’s degree in international relations from the Fletcher School at Tufts University. He began his journalism career at The Hill newspaper in Washington D.C. before moving on to write for The Atlantic and The New York Times. Grann is best known for his non-fiction works, including “The Lost City of Z,” which tells the story of explorer Percy Fawcett, and “Killers of the Flower Moon,” which investigates the murders of Osage Native Americans in the 1920s. Both books were critically acclaimed bestsellers. Grann has won numerous awards for his writing, including the George Polk Award, the National Magazine Award, and the Edgar Award.
